INDIA: The Japan Foundation, in collaboration with The India Habitat Centre, has launched a cultural celebration with the Japanese Classics Samurai Film Festival, offering an immersive cinematic experience into the timeless world of Japanese classics. The 5-day festival commenced at the India Habitat Centre with a captivating screening of Akira Kurosawa’s iconic masterpiece, ‘Seven Samurai.’

Curated by Murtaza Ali Khan for The Japan Foundation, the festival promises to transport audiences to the enchanting era of Samurai epic films from the 1950s and 60s. The opening night was graced by Director General of The Japan Foundation New Delhi, Koji Sato, and Director Arts, Aoi Ishimaru, adding a deep cultural perspective to the screening of ‘Seven Samurai.’
